Terms of Service

1. The service

Free AI Chat provides access to conversational AI and specialized AI tools powered by third-party large language models. The service is available without registration; an optional account adds saved conversation history, and an optional paid Premium plan raises usage limits. Free AI Chat is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by OpenAI or any other AI model provider.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and may apply fair-use limits to keep the service available for everyone.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the service lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you must not use it to:

• engage in or facilitate illegal activity, or generate content that violates applicable law;
• harm, harass, defame, or deceive others, including generating disinformation, impersonation, or fraudulent content;
• generate malware, exploits, or content designed to compromise systems or data;
• infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights of any person;
• attempt to circumvent usage limits, probe or disrupt the service, or access it by automated means at abusive volumes;
• violate academic-integrity or professional rules that apply to you by presenting AI output as your own where prohibited.

We may restrict or terminate access for violations of these terms.

3. AI output disclaimer

AI-generated content is produced by statistical language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or biased — sometimes while sounding confident. The service provides information and drafting assistance, not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying output before relying on it, and you should consult a qualified professional for medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions. To the extent you use AI output, you do so at your own judgment and risk.

4. Your content

You retain any rights you hold in the content you submit. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service — including transmitting your input to our AI model providers to generate responses and, for account holders, storing saved conversations. You are responsible for having the right to submit the content you provide. Subject to the terms of our model providers and applicable law, you may use the output you generate for personal or commercial purposes.

5. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or threaten the security or integrity of the service.

6. Premium, billing, and cancellation

The Premium plan is an optional paid subscription billed through our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. Prices and included benefits are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, during which you keep Premium access. Refunds are handled in accordance with the refund terms presented at purchase and applicable consumer law — contact us and we will help.

7. Intellectual property

The service — its interface, branding, and content other than your content and AI output — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative services from it without our permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability — to the maximum extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including reliance on AI output. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, for free use, a nominal amount). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version, and material changes will be signposted within the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing framework and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of establishment, and disputes that cannot be resolved amicably fall to the courts of the operator's place of establishment — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
