- Can you really upscale an image ×4 without losing quality?
- Yes, and the result is usually better than the original at the same display size. Classic resizing only stretches existing pixels, which is why enlarged photos look soft. This tool runs Real-ESRGAN, a super-resolution network trained on millions of image pairs: it rebuilds edges, textures and fine detail. It doesn't invent information that was never there — a heavily compressed thumbnail will show its limits — but for most photos and screenshots the gain is dramatic.
